It's finally here! I got my highly anticipated Traxxas Defender TRX-4®Scale and Trail™ Crawler as a gift from my family.
This Land Rover Defender 110 is definitely one of my favorites from their entire lineup!
It's packed with features like the remote-locking front and rear differentials and high/low range transmission, it truly feels like a real truck while driving it...and cruise control! How cool is that?
THE DISAPPOINTMENT
I went right ahead with the unboxing (watch video here) and was in for a little bit of a disappointment after seeing that the yellow paint was cracked around so many places within the body. At this point, and instead of returning it, I decided to go ahead and jump into the DIY, body painting project I had in mind anyways. Nevertheless, it's kind of disheartening to see this level of gross defect when it comes to the paiting job for the body. Got it painted! »
THE GOOD THINGS
As expected, the all-new Traxxas design looks rugged and powerful and after a few runs around you can tell the system actually works pretty well.
After all, I did take it for a short, test drive.

As usual with all these models, make sure you have your batteries already purchased and charged for all the premiliniary testing and first fun rides.
